Over The Air Updates!

Software updates for cars are indeed happening, and with them, potentially improving or adding features that weren’t there before. And no, this isn’t a Tesla or super luxury exclusive thing. Our 2019 Honda Odyssey just received its latest round of software updates, connecting through my phone’s data connection and bluetooth.

One of the noticeable updates was an improvement to the in-cabin technology. Previously, the CabinTalk feature (which helps project the driver’s voice to the rear occupants) was only accessible through a separate screen from the amazing (in our opinion) CabinWatch viewing screen. This didn’t make much sense, as we typically want to be able to keep an eye on our little one while still conversing.

BOOM! With today’s software update, the CabinTalk controls are now migrated and accessible alongside the CabinWatch screen. Thanks Honda!

Happy Friday! This morning, our @honda Odyssey went through a software update and unlocked improved functionality. Previously, the CabinTalk function was only available on a separate screen from the CabinWatch camera view. This didn't make a lot of sense, as a user wants to maintain viewing of the rear as you talk to them. Boom! With today's update, the CabinTalk buttons have moved alongside the CabinWatch window. Thanks for the update Honda! #technology
